Rene Marie Russo has been a model, actress as well as a film maker in the United States. Apart from her beautiful beauty, her continued success in the film industry is testament to her abilities as an actor. Her professional career started as a model for fashion in the year 1970 and she quickly rose to prominence. From the 80s onwards, she attended classes in acting and theater prior to performing on theater stage of Los Angeles. Russo first made her television debut on ABCs Sable in the role of Eden Kendell, in 1987. In the following year she portrayed Tom Berengers love interest in her debut movie Major League. At first, she was skeptical about her capabilities as an actress, the critics were won over by her consistency. They were particularly impressed by her performance in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she held herself against the likes of Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. She claims that she was never a fan in acting. She decided in 2005 to take a lengthy self-imposed break. Her return was in Thor. She also appeared in Nightcrawler which her husband was awarded an Oscar for. Then she went on to play in light-hearted comedies such as The Intern and Just Getting Started.

Rose Namajunas has been one among the most prominent UFC female athletes. She began her professional career in amateur fighting, where she fought for a variety of regional events. In the following years she enlisted with Invicta Fighting Championships before joining Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). After joining the UFC in 2011, she became a household-name due to the success that she enjoyed both on and off the octagon. Namajunas was born on the 29th of June 1992 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The fighter was brought up by a Lithuanian family. Rose played basketball as well as kickboxing when she was growing into a young woman. Invicta Fighting Championships made her professional debut at 18 when she submitted two of her opponents. Dana White, who was paying close attention to her at the time, signed Rose in the UFC strawweight division for the month of December in 2014. Rose was just turning 22. Rose has been through highs as well as lows during her career but she always comes out triumphant. Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose beat Esparza with a technical knockout within less than three minutes of Round One. Rose not only won the championship but was awarded Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA history by winning this fight since she was the first female to fight to win the title of champion in any organization of note. Namajunas had a number of wins following this one, and received the title of Performance Of The Night by UFC after her wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
