Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada is an actress famous for her character Bo on The Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, who was a well-known actor, director writer, producer, educator and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother at work and attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk was the subject of several commercials while she was still in the midst of her childhood. She received her degree from St. Thomas University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto to further her acting skills in November 1999, and during the decade that followed, she relocated to Los Angeles California. She met her spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's workshop held in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple was engaged in 2009, and were married with a civil ceremony December of that year. After she had converted to Judaism and they took their vows to each other again at an Jewish ceremony on the 10th April 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk was blessed with the son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second baby was born on May 13, 2016. Silk has several television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win an award called the Gemini in 2009 to play this character. She was cast in the role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant when she was filming the final episode of the third season. Silk announced her pregnancy to fans during the Showcase Season Three pre-show special that aired on January 6, 2013. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on Season Four. On June 20, 2013 Silk declared on Twitter she was ready to return for work on the show. CNN's Cable News Network named her character Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) in the show Lost Girl as same-sex couples one of their all-time favorite television Couples. E! Magazine has declared them to be the most popular Television Couple in 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most popular shows on the social network.
