Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor who was born on the 31st of January 1974. She's most famous as Bo in the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. The daughter of Peter an academic and Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed performer, actress, and playwright and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's very first memories are of attending play rehearsals and watching her mother at work. Silk featured in a number of commercials while she was young. Silk graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two stage productions prior to that, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto for further development of her acting skills in November 1999. She then, over her next ten years, moved in the following decade to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Los Angeles Actors Workshop in 2007. The couple was engaged in 2009, and they were married at a civil ceremony that December. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows at the Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk welcomed a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second child was born May 13, 2016. Silk is a variety of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. She was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2009 for this role. The year 2009 saw her hired as the lead character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant when she was filming the finale of the third season. She announced the baby's pregnancy to viewers during her Showcase Season Three pre-show special that aired on January 6, 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter on June 20th, 2013 that the show would return to production. Season Four premiered on June 4th 2013 by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. CNN recognized Bo's character with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most popular couples on TV of all time. E! Magazine also declared it to be one of the top couples on TV in 2013.
